About ADR Direct
ADR Direct is a small specialist dangerous goods courier, covering all nine ADR classes. Here is who we are.
Why we started
Between us we have spent a lot of years in this trade, and we know how it should be done. In November 2025 we set up ADR Direct in Rochdale. Drivers trained, loads checked, paperwork in order, every time. Nothing fancy, just the job done the way the regulations ask, so the customer knows their goods moved correctly.
Who we are
David Taylor has spent more than twenty years in dangerous goods. He started as a driver, worked his way up to operations manager for a transport firm serving a major chemical manufacturer, then left to set up his own courier firm. James Hargreaves did the same, one van and a lot of early starts. We met on the road, got talking, and teamed up. Every class is on the card, including the stand-alone Class 1 explosives and Class 7 radioactive courses, because if we are going to do this job we want to do all of it properly.
How we work
Same day, dedicated and direct. One vehicle from collection to delivery, no other freight on board. No depots, no transfers, no handovers. Dangerous goods never sit on a vehicle overnight. The person quoting your job is the person who understands it. If something is outside what we can do safely, we will say so and point you the right way.
The compliance behind it
A Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser is appointed under ADR Chapter 1.8.3, and a Radiation Protection Adviser for Class 7. DfT Inspected: Fully Compliant. FORS Champion accredited and RHA members. All vehicles live GPS tracked, collection to delivery. It is how the job stays safe.
