Dangerous Goods Courier West Yorkshire
ADR Direct is a specialist dangerous goods courier covering all nine ADR classes, same day, nationwide. We are based in Milnrow at Junction 21 of the M62, the last junction before the motorway climbs over the Pennines into West Yorkshire. Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield all sit off the same road. No depots, no transfers, no handovers.
Where we collect across West Yorkshire
West Yorkshire is home to one of the UK's largest fine and speciality chemicals clusters, with strengths in agri-chem, surface coatings and dyes. The industry grew out of the wool trade, where dyes, bleaches and finishing chemicals were needed for treating cloth, and it is still working today around Huddersfield and Bradford. Coatings, inks, resins and solvents are everyday ADR work. We collect from all five districts, Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.
All nine classes
We carry packaged dangerous goods across all nine ADR classes, a single box or a full van load up to 1,050 kg, on a dedicated vehicle either way. All drivers hold ADR driver training certificates covering all nine classes, including the specialisation training courses for Class 1 explosives and Class 7 radioactive. Laboratories and life sciences
West Yorkshire has over 600 health and life sciences companies, the largest teaching hospital trust in Europe, and universities at Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield with chemistry and pharmacy departments. Laboratory work brings small quantities, mixed classes and tight paperwork. We collect from research sites, hospital labs and testing facilities across the region.
The M62 corridor
Junction 21 to Junction 27 is one road. Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield all come off it, with the M606 into Bradford and the M621 into Leeds. It is the same run west into Greater Manchester and on to Merseyside, so a West Yorkshire collection going to the other side of the Pennines does not change vehicle or driver.
The compliance behind it
A Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser is appointed under ADR Chapter 1.8.3, and a Radiation Protection Adviser for Class 7. We are registered with the HSE under the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017. Class 1 movements run under a written Transport Security Plan, on an EX/II approved vehicle. FORS Champion accredited and an RHA member. All vehicles live GPS tracked, collection to delivery.
