What is ADR?
ADR is the international agreement that governs the carriage of dangerous goods by road. The letters come from its French name, Accord relatif au transport international des marchandises dangereuses par route. It sets the rules for packaging, labelling, vehicle equipment, driver training and paperwork. If your goods are classed as dangerous, ADR is the rulebook your carrier has to work to.
Do your drivers hold ADR certificates?
Yes. All drivers hold current ADR driver training certificates covering all nine classes, including the stand-alone Class 1 and Class 7 courses. A Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser is appointed under ADR Chapter 1.8.3, and a Radiation Protection Adviser for Class 7 under the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017.
What classes of dangerous goods do you carry?
All nine. Class 1 explosives, Class 2 gases, Class 3 flammable liquids, Class 4 flammable solids, Class 5 oxidising substances and organic peroxides, Class 6 toxic and infectious, Class 7 radioactive, Class 8 corrosives, and Class 9 miscellaneous including lithium batteries. Class 1 and Class 7 are specialist work and have their own pages.
How quickly can you collect?
Same day is the service and in most cases we can do it. If we cannot, we tell you straight. Call with the job and you get an honest answer on collection time and price.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes, nationwide. Every job runs dedicated and direct, one ADR-certified driver, one vehicle, collection to delivery. No depots, no transfers, no handovers.
What paperwork do I need?
The sender provides the Dangerous Goods Note describing the load. We check it before anything moves, our driver carries the required instructions in writing in the cab, and you get a signed delivery note as proof of delivery. Not sure what your paperwork needs to show? Ask us before the job.
Who packs and labels the goods?
The sender. ADR says the goods must be packaged, marked and labelled correctly before collection, and our driver checks them on arrival. If it is not right, it does not move.
How much can one vehicle take?
Up to 1,050 kg on a dedicated van. Above that, tell us the weight and we will tell you straight what the job needs, whether that is two vans or a larger vehicle.
Can you move lithium batteries?
Yes. Lithium batteries are Class 9 and we carry them, from a single package to a full van load. Damaged or swollen batteries carry extra packaging rules, so tell us what you have and we will confirm how it moves before you commit.
Do you move hazardous waste?
Yes. We are registered with the Environment Agency as an upper tier waste carrier, and waste moves under the same ADR rules as anything else, correct classification, packaging and paperwork before it travels. Tell us what the waste is and we will confirm how it moves.
